The European Union towards strategic autonomy

This booklet explores the issue of the strategic autonomy of the European Union, analysing it from several points of view. The introduction summarizes the path taken towards a common defence and how the change in the international scenario affects you. The so-called strategic compass is also discussed in detail. In addition, the search for common defence is deepened, taking into account NATO, the Union's civilian and military missions and the possible impact that the conflict in Ukraine might have on them, to conclude with a review of the influence of the major powers: the United States of America, China and Russia.
